Oskar has finally come home! he had a great time and is warming up really well! right now i am watching/listening to him playfully growl and yip because he is having so much fun with his squeaky toy! it's adorable!! i took a picture...it's the one where he has the orange bear :) he had a bit of a tough night but eventually fell asleep! he is learning right now to go potty outside, his name and to not chew on fingers :D

i cannot wait to see the ways he will make us laugh!! i'll post again soon!!

hey guys! i know i haven't posted in a while! i have been SO busy! i have some pictures of the puppies progressing :) they are now 7 weeks old and we get them on FRIDAY!! Oh my gosh am i excited!! i cannot wait and will for sure post once we get little oskar.

We picked one!! (finally :D )

OKKAAYYY... so, yesterday we picked our puppy! our choices were between puppy #6 and puppy #1 and we chose *drum roll...* #1! I am so happy! i say that a lot don't I ?! oh well :) I am! so i posted 2 pics of him my mom wants to name him Elliot since it's a jewish name and he was born on Yom Kippur and because of some song but i just can't see an Elliot!! How bout' you? Really all that's left to do is wait, the hardest part! I am sure i will find some way to struggle through my impatience lol! well i just checked an email from michelle! the puppies will get dew claws removed tomorrow! and then we can know a price! great!

Ok, so the total of the puppies is : 7 boys!! (good we changed our mind!!) And 1 girl!! The little cuties! sadly, one pup had a tough time coming out and died :'( it was going to be a girl , but i am so happy that everything is good with the rest! we will go see them in 3-4 weeks :) i cannot wait!!

FINALLY THEDAY HAS COME!

the puppies have been born i feel like a mom lol!!!! i was stunned when i got that phone from michelle!!!!! i would like to give a huge "thank you" to michelle :D in this time we got to know each other a lot better than we did before she offered us one in the first place :D i am so happy!!! thank you again michelle for telling me every little detail AANNDD putting up with a 13 year old that is really jumpy !!! LOL!!!!! well i will get pics asap!!!!!

UPDATE!

ok, got some new emails from michelle!

-puppies are due september 18th! (plus or minus 3 days)

-Lulu is doing GREAT!!! she has a huge belly ^--^

Plus i guess that lulu is getting enough food for her puppies but not enough for her :( so as a solution to this, she gets food with gravy! lol! I guess being pregnant hasn't slowed her down! it sounds cute :D

I have been debating with myself lately on if i should get taste of the wild dog food(this is the food michelle has been feeding her dogs lately since she needed to put Lulu on puppy food) or blue buffalo, which, both are pretty spendy but are VERY good and leaves dogs healthy and soft coats too! I think we will start with Blue buffalo, we'll see! I mean it really depends on how much this dog is eating! I might have already mentioned this but it is final that we are getting a boy! (good gosh they get HUGE!) But a name is undecided! :P I am sure my mom will think of one soon enough or we will just decide on one when we pick one out and see it for the first time!

And man oh man am i excited for that day!

Any day now!

Well, Lulu can go any day now! According to michelle she is HUGE with puppies :) I wonder how many are in there!! In the world records book it says that the largest litter of puppies was 23! And the mother was a Saint Bernard! POOR MOM!!!! That would not be fun! (haha :P) Now, since i am very bored i will list some fun facts on saints:

* Saint Bernards actually never carried a barrel of whiskey around their neck!

Well, Michelle looked at my blog!!! YAY! (thanks michelle :D) And replied to one of my emails: the saint bernard's are long haired!!! AWWW it's gonna be a poof! lol!!!!Also, the other day me and my parents were talking and they had the idea to let the saint bernard go to an "Elderly Living" place and see the old people!!! :) ANNDD, there is a program at the library where dogs can read with kids!!! Wouldn't that be so cool!?!? I think it's a great idea! One day closer to puppies!! I have been reading every dog training book i can get my hands on and even bought one! Plus, i have been taking notes and looking at dog eating habits, grooming, etc. I am trying to get as ready as I can, and on the bright side we even have a big kennel we are going to borrow (those things are SO expensive!!!) . hen Michelle emailed me back she also said... She wants to post me on her website!!!!(if she can figure out how, computers i tell ya...) That would be great! maybe i cold have more followers than me and michelle :) Lol! I think i will email the link to EVERYONE i know once we get the puppy, but for now i think we are off to a great start!

ok! so yesterday i got an email from michelle! And, it said that Lulu was gaining a little weight! But, she didn't want to feel Lulu's stomach for puppy's because it could mess up the developing bodies! And she said she could've gotten an x-ray, but didn't want too much radiation! (which of course is understandable!!!) She also said that when the puppy's are 3-4 weeks that, that would be the best time to get them! (because she needs to sell them before they get too big! :) and because at 3-4 weeks you can get an idea of their personality and their markings!) thhhheeeeennnn when they are ready we will go, pay and take the puppy to petsmart(to get EVERYTHING!) and then home! ahhhHH!H!H!H!H!hH! well as you all can tell i am about to fall out of my seat so i better go :D

ok, well last night i had a dream about saint bernard's (REALLY weird i know!) but they were real cute! AANNNDDDDD, a couple days ago our breeder (michelle) emailed me on facebook and told me the puppies will be ready NOVEMBER 13!!!!! heck yea! I am super excited! plus, i have already planned out our shopping list for when we first get it and go to petsmart! The con of this though is that we have to pay for they pup and the whole petsmart bill, but i am glad to do it! (luckily i have an $8.00 an hour babysitting job and the week before my best friend comes from chicago which i will be doing for 8 hours a day for 3 days! so i will get a total of about--- $192.00!! Yea i know! and i was only supposed to raise $121.53!!) So life is very good right now! and i will be waiting waiting WAITING until that day.

ok, so yesterday (i think it was) my grandma took me to my mom's cousin michelle's house who owns the saint bernard's!!!!! they were sooo big and CUUUTTTTEEEE!!!!! i love them! the female was in heat and should b bred around next week then they will be ready by november 12th (an estimate!!!) i am very happy! the dad 'beuford' had a head as big as mine (my head is not the smallest ;) ) and a paw almost as big as my sister's hand!!!! haha! at first my dad wasn't convinced but then we made a AMAZING powerpoint to show him and he said YES!!! so i am very happy! i will tune in again when i have more info!

well turns that we are not getting a saint bernard until the beginning of october now (well about october)!!!!! i know!!!! OCTOBER!! can you believe it?!?!?! i understand though because the mom dog (lulu) has to go into heat which will be sometime in the end of may beginning of june, then i guess the dogs are pregnant for 63 days (2 months) and then when the puppies are born they most stay with mama for about 8 weeks (roughly another 2 months). But i am still as exited as can be!!! And plus my mom said that we could go see them after they were born and maybe even pick one out! *Ahhh!* (BTW that was a scream (literally) of joy) hehehehe! well i am pretty sure that's all or now and if i think of anything else by then i will post!

ok, we have this dog who is not good with kids AT ALL! And he even bit my little cousin! I am really sad because we have to take him to a shelter! I have no idea if they will put him to sleep or not but the odds aren't very good and it makes me sad :,( but sometimes what you have to do is best... by the way our dog is not a saint bernard! Plus, on top of all this he constantly goes after our other dog and our two little cats! poo poo! Well i suppose that's all. mama saint bernard is doing good!
